Random Segment data collection. This is a ‘machine’ that can  be set up anywhere. I want to use the wool in a 2d way as well. For example, make a web similar to this but just on a frame. Then take the frame to my ‘area’ and capture the change that occurs in segments. This video shows what can be done however the ‘area’ it is set up in is not suitable as there isn’t change.

The area is now the wool and whatever segments that the shapes capture.

by randomly spreading string in a area - large or small, I can create segments that divide and capture just parts of an area. This also creates shapes. With the use of Light, I can show change in a moving area or it can provide a way of showing me what segment in the area (created by the string) that I am attracted to. Similar to the closing of eyes and opening  to discovr what first catches your eye.
